Hutman Diagnostics AG together with its Canadian partner Axela Inc. have reached a significant goal in their nucleic acid based infectious disease detection program referred to as Alena Diagnostics. Together they successfully demonstrated multiplex detection of pathogens in a new, low cost cartridge format at levels of sensitivity, specificity and inclusivity necessary for commercial success. We are pleased to inform you that the shareholders met for the annual shareholders meeting on June23rd, 2015 at the offices of Hutman Diagnostics AG. 96% of the votes were either represented directly or through a proxy. All proposals set forth by the Board of Directors were approved with a large majority.

In particular, the shareholders approved the establishment of a new subsidiary, Alena Diagnostics AG, into which the probes developed by Hutman will be assigned. Axela Inc, Toronto, Canada, will become the partner in the new subsidiary, receive an equity portion of 42,5%  against which it has agreed to assign the required patents/trade secrets to ensure the “Axela Platform” can be finalised and come to market with the first product roughly by mid 2016. We hope to close this very important next step of funding before the end of the third quarter 2015. 

The extraordinary shareholders' meeting was held in Basel on March 10th 2015. Four new scientific expert advisors, Dr. Nicolas Draeger, Dr. Bernhard Hosteller, Dr. Brian Jones and Dr. Guido Bloemberg, were elected. We are pleased to inform you that all standard agenda items have been approved.

Hutman Diagnostics AG is proud to announce that on February 20th, 2015 the company was successfully certified as EN ISO 13485:2012 + AC: 2012 and ISO 13485:2003 compliant.
